With the support of the European Parliament, the NEB Boost will reward 20 projects led by small municipalities across the EU, supporting initiatives that reflect NEB values, show strong community engagement, and demonstrate project maturity. Each winning project will receive up to €30,000 and a communication package to highlight their achievements.

In addition, the list of eligible municipalities has been updated, opening to more municipalities to apply for the competition. Applicants are invited to check the Annex 1 of the Guide to applicants.

a) Classified by Eurostat's degree of urbanisation (DEGURBA code 2 or 3), meaning they are recognised as a town, suburb, or rural area.
b) Have a population of less than 20,000 inhabitants.
Applications for the NEB Boost for Small Municipalities should be submitted through the official New European Bauhaus Prizes platform. All the details about the application process are included in the respective Guides to Applicants available in the platform.
