On October 11, H.E. Ambassador Ouyang Yujing attended and spoke at the 10th Tan Kah Kee Award Ceremony. Also present were the Chairman Tan Yew Sing and Deputy Chairman Tan Keng Kang from Malaysia Tan Kah Kee Foundation, with close to 600 guests.

In his speech, Ambassador Ouyang commended Mr. Tan Kah Kee's high virtue and remarkable endeavors, and highlighted that this year is a milestone year in the history of China-Malaysia relations. He said that under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, high-level visits have been frequent, pragmatic cooperation in various fields has yielded fruitful results, and the positioning of bilateral relations has been elevated to a new historical height. He hopes that the Malaysian-Chinese community will further contribute to imparting traditional Chinese culture and propelling the China-Malaysia friendship.

The Ambassador also interacted with the award recipients and attending guests. Inspired by the "Tan Kah Kee Spirit", many expressed their desire to keep up the collective efforts to further strengthen Malaysia-China friendship.
