Vice Minister For Foreign Affairs attended the reception on the occasion of the 170th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and the UK

On 16 January 2025, H.E. Mr. Russ Jalichandra, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs together with H.E. Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, attended the reception on the occasion of the 170th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and the UK along with the launch of the commemorative logo at the Central Post Office, Bang Rak, the very first site of the British Consulate in Bangkok.
On this occasion, the Vice Minister reaffirmed the special bond between the two kingdoms, particularly on education and people-to-people connections. Thailand and the UK signed the Thailand-UK Strategic Partnership Roadmap during the first official visit of the Right Honourable Lord Cameron of Chipping Norton, former Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs on 20 March 2024, making the UK the first country
