Clients worldwide will benefit from expanded technical capacity and deeper multidisciplinary expertise as Jacobs grows its presence in India with a new office in Chennai.
The Chennai-based team delivers multidisciplinary solutions across some of the most complex critical infrastructure and advanced manufacturing projects. By expanding in Chennai, Jacobs is strengthening access to technical and engineering talent to better support clients globally as part of our multi-year global growth strategy.
Jacobs Chennai office, located at The Executive Centre, DLF Cyber City was officially opened by Jacobs' Executive Vice President for the Asia Pacific region Sinead Giblin, on February 3, 2026. during an inauguration celebration with employees.
"The opening of the Chennai office reflects our continued investment in India as a key hub for technical excellence and talent," says Jacobs' Executive Director of Operations for India Darpan Jethi. "By expanding in Chennai, we're building capacity to support our clients and projects, in India and globally, as we advance our next phase of growth."
Jacobs has operated in India for more than 50 years and employs close to 4,500 people, delivering complex, multidisciplinary solutions for domestic and international projects. This expansion builds on Jacobs' longstanding presence in India and its continued support for nationally significant infrastructure, industrial and urban development programs. Some of the most recent contract wins include CG Semi's Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test facility and our continued support for the National Industrial Corridor Development Program.
The Chennai office complements Jacobs' existing locations in Mumbai, Pune, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad. Together, these offices provide integrated support for high-growth markets including energy, water, transportation, advanced manufacturing and life sciences - working with clients to deliver resilient infrastructure and drive sustainable growth.
