City of Victorville Seeking Applicants for City Council Vacancy

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: November 5, 2025 VICTORVILLE, Calif. - Today, the City of Victorville announced that it is accepting applications from qualified Victorville residents living in District 2 to fill a vacancy on the Victorville City Council. The successful applicant will be appointed by the City Council to serve the remainder of the District 2 term vacated by Council Member Debra Jones, which lasts until December 2026. Individuals interested in being considered for the appointment must email a letter of interest and resume to City Clerk at [email protected] no later than 5 p.m. on November 14, 2025. Applicants must be residents of the City of Victorville living in District 2, registered to vote, and able to attend City Council Meetings that are held the first and third Tuesday of each month starting at 5 p.m. Additional meetings will be scheduled upon request. The final selection and appointment are expected to be made by the Victorville City Council at a future date. A map of the District 2 boundaries is available on the City of Victorville website.
