HACU Webinar: Hispanic-Serving Borderland Institutions: Best Teaching, Mentoring, and Learning Practices

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities will host a webinar titled, "Hispanic-Serving Borderland Institutions: Best Teaching, Mentoring, and Learning Practices," for HACU-members, on April 17, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. CT. To register, click here.

The webinar will focus on student engagement and success in STEM disciplines at New Mexico State University and Dona Ana Community College, both of which are Hispanic-Serving Institutions. They will also explore a variety of targeted interventions, including faculty and peer mentoring, high-impact practices, active learning, and culturally relevant pedagogy.

The webinar will be presented by Cecilia Contreras, Ed.D., STEM Education Researcher at New Mexico State University-Main Campus, and Maryanne Long, Ph.D., Postdoctoral Researcher at New Mexico State University.
