Gov. Lee Announces Key Judicial Appointment

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Today, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee announced the appointment of Judge Stacy Street to the Court of Criminal Appeals, Eastern Section.

"I am proud to announce the appointment of Judge Street, and value the significant experience he will bring to the bench," said Gov. Lee. "I appreciate his willingness to lead and am confident that he will serve Tennesseans with integrity."

Judge Street is currently a Criminal Court Judge in the First Judicial District. He earned his bachelor's degree at East Tennessee State University and juris doctor at University of Tennessee College of Law. Street has been appointed to fill the vacancy created by Judge Kyle Hixson's elevation to the Tennessee Supreme Court. This appointment is effective July 7, 2026, and subject to legislative confirmation.
