2025 classes are in April and in October. Registration is now open.
Office of Emergency Services (OES) invites you to join the Spring or Fall 2025 Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training. This 20-hour program is designed to prepare you to assist yourself, your family, and neighbors in the event of a disaster. Course topics and hands on training include emergency preparedness, fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, communications, damage assessment, disaster psychology, and disaster medical operations. All trainings are in person at a City of Gilroy facility and are free to community members living or working in South Santa Clara County. Teenagers are welcome to attend with a parent and can earn community service hours.
