The City of Norman invites residents and property owners to attend an upcoming Lunch & Learn to understand options for repairing, restoring, and replacing historic windows. in Norman.
Two sessions will be offered:
Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of historic window anatomy, how to identify common issues, and the risks and realities of window replacement. Additional topics will include maintenance and restoration techniques, glass replacement, rot repair, storm windows, and navigating the Certificate of Appropriateness process.
The session will also cover the preservation guidelines established by the Norman Historic District Commission, clarifying requirements for projects within designated historic districts.
The program is funded through a Certified Local Government grant administered by the Oklahoma State Historic Preservation Office in partnership with the National Park Service.
The deadline to register for the February session is February 25, 2026, at 5:00 PM. The deadline to register for the March session is March 25, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
