Welcome back, Brandeisians! Campus came back to life in August as students arrived, old traditions returned and a new academic year got underway. Here's a look at some of the moments that marked the start of the year.
August got off to a festive start with "Brandeis Enchanted: Night of Carnival," which brought carnival games, activities and attractions.
A Brandeis tradition welcomed new students to campus, as they gathered beneath the Light of Reason for Light the Night, marking the start of their Brandeis journey.
It was all hands on deck for move-in day, as the Brandeis community welcomed students and helped them settle into their new dorms.
Orientation gave new students a chance to get acquainted with campus, connect with one another and prepare for the year ahead.
Students took advantage of the warm weather on the first day of classes, enjoying the last bit of summer as the new academic year got underway.
SciFest offered another look at the work happening across campus, with undergraduate researchers sharing projects they developed in Brandeis laboratories over the summer.
Students weren't the only ones hard at work this summer. Faculty members were busy with research, too, exploring new questions and ideas across their fields.
We're looking forward to the year ahead and everything it has in store!
