Life Insurance Special Enrollment Window for PEBB Eligible Employees

WSU benefit-eligible employees may have recently received a letter from MetLife announcing a special enrollment opportunity for you and your family members.

MetLife is extending a simplified health evidence process that may not require full insurance underwriting.

Key details to be aware of:

• Special Enrollment Window: Oct 26 and Nov 23. Enrollment and changes to life insurance coverage can be made at any time, but this special opportunity offers a simplified process.
• Summary of Life Insurance Coverage that is available to you and eligible family members can be found on the Life Insurance website.
• To Take Advantage of this Simplified Offer, log into your MetLife portal.
• The Simplified Process will ask (5) health questions, to be reviewed by MetLife. In many instances, nothing more is required. If health responses trigger an additional review, MetLife may reach out to request full medical underwriting.
• No Risk of Losing Current Coverage. If additional or new coverage is not approved, you will never risk losing any coverage that is currently in force.
