The President congratulated King Charles III on the occasion of his birthday

President Gitanas Nausėda on Friday extended his congratulations to King Charles III of the United Kingdom on the occasion of his birthday.

The President expressed his appreciation that Lithuania and the United Kingdom remain like-minded partners in the face of unprecedented global challenges. Under the reign of King Charles III, bilateral relations continue to grow stronger in all areas, with initiatives that enhance the security and prosperity of both countries moving forward and sincere bonds of friendship being nurtured.

"We thank the United Kingdom for its contribution to the security of Lithuania and the entire Baltic region. We are committed to continuing close and productive cooperation, strengthening transatlantic defense both through the UK-led Joint Expeditionary Force and within the NATO framework," the President wrote in his message of congratulations.

Gitanas Nausėda also highlighted the deepening cultural and social ties between the two countries, as well as the significant potential for joint initiatives in business, high technologies, education, and science.
