Celebrate Earth Day with fun, learning and green living in McKinney

Meet raptors and have story time with an otter at Earth Day

The City of McKinney invites the community to celebrate sustainability at an Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 5 at TUPPS Brewery, 402 E. Louisiana St. This free family-friendly event offers a full day of entertainment, education, and eco-friendly fun to inspire residents to help keep McKinney clean and green.

The festivities will feature games, live music, a petting zoo, and pony rides. Goat yoga is available, but advanced registration is required. Visitors can also enjoy educational activities, learn about composting, and meet live raptors like an owl and vulture up close.

Event highlights include:

• Composting 101 at 11:30 a.m. - Learn the essentials from a certified Master Composter.
• Story Time with Otis the Otter at 12:30 p.m. - A fun and educational story session for kids.
• Live Raptor Meet-and-Greet at 1:30 p.m. - See an owl and vulture from the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center.
• Prizes throughout the day - Be present for your chance to win exciting giveaways.

This event is made possible by TUPPS Brewery, Keep McKinney Beautiful, and Sprouts. TUPPS Brewery will offer food and beverage options for purchase.
