Strategic Framework Agreement on Cooperation between the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw and Greenberg Traurig

WARSAW, 9 October 2025

The Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw announces the signing of a strategic framework agreement on cooperation with the international law firm Greenberg Traurig. The framework agreement between the parties provides for extensive cooperation in the areas of research and development, expertise, and the design and implementation of science and business initiatives.

The signing ceremony was attended by: Professor Sławomir Żółtek, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw, Professor Anna Zbiegień-Turzańska, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw, responsible for cooperation with the socio-economic environment, Valery Vachev, PhD, Head of Studies - Law, Jolanta Nowakowska-Zimoch, Managing Partner at Greenberg Traurig and Maciej Tąkiel, PhD, Director of Business Development and Innovation at Greenberg Traurig, who will be responsible for implementing the agreement between the parties.

"Our ambition is to develop an academic framework based on the most modern and highest global teaching standards. Achieving this goal requires close cooperation with businesses. The legal market is currently extremely dynamic, so if we are to ensure a modern and up-to-date approach to teaching and research, it is essential that we establish a lasting bridge between leaders in science, business, and technology. We are delighted that Greenberg Traurig has joined the select group of the Faculty's strategic partners," said Professor Sławomir Żółtek, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw.

Jolanta Nowakowska-Zimoch, Managing Partner at Greenberg Traurig in Poland, said that working with the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw is an honour and a great responsibility. "We want to work together to strengthen the skills of the next generation of lawyers and add value in areas where Greenberg Traurig is a market leader. Our focus will be on building a culture of innovation based on the latest technological solutions. In our profession, this is now a necessity," she concluded.

The Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw (WPiA UW) is a leading centre for legal education and research in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe. The Faculty offers a single-cycle Master's degree programme in Law, as well as first- and second-cycle degree programmes in Administration.
