WASHINGTON, D.C. (Apr. 20, 2026) - Today, Congresswoman Nancy Mace introduced a resolution to expel Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL) from the United States House of Representatives.
Rep. Mace has been sounding the alarm on Cory Mills for months. In November, Rep. Mace offered a privileged resolution to censure Mills and strip him from his committee assignments on the House Foreign Affairs and Armed Services Committees. The swamp protected him like it always does.
Mills has been under investigation by the House Ethics Committee since August 2024 for stolen valor, alleged violence against women, and profiting off federal contracts while serving as a sitting Member of Congress.
"The swamp has protected Cory Mills for far too long and we are done letting it slide. We tried to censure him and strip him from his committee assignments. Both parties blocked it, but we are not backing down," said Congresswoman Mace. "The evidence against Mills is overwhelming: beating women and telling them to lie about it, cyberstalking women, lying about his military service, and profiting off his seat. Any Member who votes to keep him here is voting to protect a woman beater and a fraud. He needs to be expelled immediately."
VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN
On February 19, 2025, DC Metropolitan Police were called to Mills's residence after a 27-year-old woman reported an assault. Body camera footage and police documents confirmed visible bruising consistent with a physical assault. Mills told the alleged victim to lie to police and tried to call then-Attorney General Pam Bondi. DC Metro Police found probable cause to arrest Mills for misdemeanor assault and sent an arrest warrant to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
A second woman reported to Florida authorities in July 2025 Mills threatened to release intimate videos of her and harm her future romantic partners. In October 2025, a Florida circuit court in Florida issued a Final Judgment of Injunction for Protection Against Dating Violence against Mills after finding he ignored eleven separate requests to leave her alone and caused her severe emotional distress.
STOLEN VALOR
The general whose signature appears on Mills' Bronze Star recommendation has stated he never signed it. Five people who served with Mills disputed his account, including two he claimed to have personally saved who denied his involvement entirely. One called it a "fabrication." Mills also claimed on a job application to have served in the 75th Ranger Regiment and attended Army Sniper School, claims not corroborated by his military records.
CORRUPTION AND CONFLICTS OF INTEREST
Since January 2023, Mills-owned companies secured close to $1 million in federal contracts for munitions, including 94 contracts awarded since January 2024, while he sat on the House Foreign Affairs and Armed Services Committees. The Office of Congressional Conduct found substantial reason to believe Mills violated House rules, standards of conduct, and federal law. His companies were also seeking contracts to sell munitions to foreign nations while he served on those same committees.
Rep. Mace has been leading the charge to clean up Congress and hold every Member accountable regardless of party.
"I did not come to Congress to watch powerful people abuse women and cover it up. Cory, your days are numbered. Start packing," Mace added.
