R2 Moderate solar flare

Active Region 4114 produced an M8.4 solar flare (R2-Moderate radio blackout) that peaked at approximately 15/1800 UTC. Initial indications point towards a likely CME associated with this eruption. Forecasters will analyze coronagraph imagery as it becomes available to determine if an Earth-directed component is present, along with potential arrival time and impacts.
