TidalHealth Nanticoke is pleased to announce that Benjamin "JR" Whitelock, Christopher Taylor, Jocelyn Delcid, and Ginger Outten are its 2nd Quarter 2026 Team Members of the Quarter. Learn more about these honorees:

Administrative & Support Services: Benjamin "JR" Whitelock, Protection Services

Benjamin "JR" Whitelock is a security guard with Protection Services at TidalHealth Nanticoke. Whitelock is recognized for consistently demonstrating TidalHealth's values through his commitment to the safety and well-being of patients, visitors and team members.

He maintains a positive and reassuring presence in the Emergency Department, regularly making rounds and engaging with those around him with a calm and approachable demeanor. His reliability and quick response provide an important sense of security, particularly during emotional or challenging situations.

Whitelock is also praised for the respect and professionalism he demonstrates in every interaction. His ability to communicate effectively and de-escalate tense situations helps prevent issues from escalating and contributes to a safer environment for everyone.

His nominator described Whitelock as a "trusted partner" whose steady communication, sound judgment and consistent follow-through have made him an invaluable member of the team.

Professional Services: Christopher Taylor, Radiology

Christopher Taylor is a radiologic technologist in Radiology at TidalHealth Nanticoke. Taylor is recognized for his outstanding service, dedication and commitment to supporting both patients and colleagues. In addition to providing high-quality patient care with professionalism and compassion, he has taken an active role in training and mentoring new team members.

His patience, clinical knowledge and willingness to share his expertise help new hires feel supported and confident in their skills while maintaining the department's high standards and fostering a positive, collaborative work environment.

Taylor also stepped up during TidalHealth Atlantic's Epic transition, participating in training and serving as a resource for his coworkers. His willingness to thoroughly learn the new system and assist others contributed to a smoother transition for the department.

His nominator shared that Taylor "exemplifies service excellence and teamwork," noting that his commitment to supporting colleagues, maintaining efficiency and prioritizing patient-centered care makes him highly deserving of recognition.

Nursing Services: Jocelyn Delcid, MSU

Jocelyn Delcid, RN, is a member of the Medical-Surgical Unit (MSU) team at TidalHealth Nanticoke. Over the past two years, Delcid has grown tremendously as a nurse and has become a valued member of the MSU team. She is recognized for her strong work ethic, positive attitude and ability to remain calm and focused even during challenging situations.

Delcid consistently provides high-quality, compassionate care and effectively prioritizes her patients' needs while using critical thinking to address issues as they arise. Her dedication has not gone unnoticed by her patients, who frequently praise the excellent care she provides.

She is equally committed to supporting her colleagues. Delcid regularly steps in to assist CSTs during busy periods and is always willing to help coworkers when needed.

Her nominator shared that Delcid's "strong work ethic, positive attitude, excellent patient care and team-focused mindset" make her highly deserving of recognition.

Nursing Services: Ginger Outten, CDU

Ginger Outten, RN, is a member of the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) team at TidalHealth Nanticoke. Outten is recognized for her exceptional dedication to both her patients and colleagues. Each shift, she goes above and beyond to provide compassionate, high-quality care, advocating for her patients and helping create a safe and comfortable environment for everyone on the unit.

As a charge nurse, Outten is also a dependable and encouraging presence for her team. She is always willing to step in, lend a hand and provide guidance when needed, maintaining a positive attitude and strong work ethic even during challenging situations.

Her dedication extends beyond the CDU. Outten serves on several unit and hospital-wide committees, continually looks for opportunities to learn and grow and volunteers to help wherever she is needed.

Her nominator described Outten as "a breath of fresh air" who demonstrates an ongoing commitment to both the CDU and TidalHealt
