The Head of State holds a phone call with Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif

The Prime Minister of Pakistan congratulated Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the successful holding of the national referendum on the adoption of a new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Shehbaz Sharif noted the historic significance of this event, aimed at further strengthening the system of public administration, enhancing institutional resilience and ensuring the well-being of citizens.

He emphasized that the results of the nationwide vote reflect the strong support of the Kazakh people for the course of political and socio-economic modernization pursued by Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The Head of State expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister of Pakistan for the congratulations and for the high assessment of the referendum results.

The interlocutors noted with satisfaction the positive momentum of the Kazakh-Pakistani strategic partnership. In this context, they discussed the implementation of the agreements reached following Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's state visit to Pakistan in February this year.

The sides also exchanged views on current regional and international issues.
