The gathering will bring together members of the EU and South Africa parliaments to discuss multilateralism, energy transformation and a Clean Trade and Investment Partnership.
The 29th EU-South Africa Inter-Parliamentary Meeting (IPM) will take place on 5-6 November 2025 in the European Parliament, immediately ahead of the G20 Summit under the South African Presidency (22-23 November 2025).
Right after, there will be a meeting between the South African Government, the European Council and the European Commission where the first Clean Trade and Investment Partnership (CTIP) and a Memorandum of Understanding on Minerals and Metals (MoU) are expected to be signed.
The IPM will be jointly led by the Chair of the Delegation for relations with South Africa of the European Parliament, Mr Udo Bullmann (S&D, DE), and the Chairperson of Portfolio Committee on International Relations and Cooperation of the South African Parliament, Mr Supra Mahumapelo. The delegation of the South African Parliament will include five additional committee chairs.
Discussions will focus on South Africa's G20 Presidency, strengthening multilateralism, energy transformation and Clean Trade and Investment Partnership.
