Photo Caption: The Berkeley College Fashion Merchandising and Management program hosted a Cotton Collective Pop-Up Challenge on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, in New York City, thanks to a CottonWorks™ industry grant. With a focus on sustainability and technological innovations, students used cotton to create fully functional products and set up storefronts for attendees during the Collective. "The Cotton Collective Pop-Up Challenge was inspiring and innovative to both lead and see come into fruition," said Dyandra Brown, Professor, Fashion, Berkeley College Larry L. Luing School of Business®. "The students transformed their knowledge of cotton and creative concepts into a compelling and future-focused story in just a short time. The winners of the challenge were Rested (RESTech Cotton) by students Haruno Maruyama and Shiori Koike.
