Honeywell Introduces New Warehouse Software Platform and Innovative Sortation Solution

CHARLOTTE, Apr. 13, 2026 - Honeywell (NASDAQ: HON) today announced two new logistics and warehousing solutions: the Honeywell Intelligrated Momentum Core software platform and the IntelliSort® Irregulars Sorter. By simplifying integration processes and expanding the scope of what can be automated, the solutions help companies increase operational visibility and agility and reduce potential downtime costs.

Honeywell Intelligrated Momentum Core software combines software and machine control capabilities into a single modular, easy-to-configure platform, enabling distribution centers to adapt automation to both fit their current needs and to seamlessly scale as they grow. The Honeywell Intelligrated IntelliSort Irregulars Sorter automates handling of oversized, labor-intensive parcels, helping logistics and e-Commerce operations achieve more streamlined processes with more predictable performance.

"Adaptability and reliability are equally important mandates in today's warehouses," said Chad Briggs, president, Honeywell Intelligrated. "Companies need technology that not only pivots quickly with ever-changing customer demand, but also evolves at the pace of individual businesses. Momentum Core allows supply chain customers to start with what they need today without worrying there will be a heavy lift each time they need to make a change in the future."

Traditional warehouse automation software solutions can often be difficult to customize and hard to change after deployment, often requiring costly updates, custom engineering or significant downtime even for simple modifications or cybersecurity updates.

Momentum Core addresses these challenges with a flexible, standardized approach. Customers can make changes to their software seamlessly without replatforming or custom engineering when workflows need to be reconfigured or reporting needs to be modified. It reduces complexity for end-users through:

  • Simplified Architecture: The system is built on a standardized code base with an end-user accessible configuration layer.
  • Unified Operations: The software foundation unifies warehouse execution software, warehouse control systems and machine control with operational visibility to offer a single view for monitoring, control, configuration and reporting across operations.
  • System Integration: Momentum Core builds off of the Ignition platform from Inductive Automation to provide supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) in a coherent system that is easy to operate, support and evolve.

Irregular packages - such as those that are heavy, oversized or unstable - represent a small portion of the overall volume in a distribution center or logistics operation, yet they account for a disproportionate share of labor, maintenance and downtime costs. Today, many companies still rely on manual processes or semi-automated solutions to handle these items, which can break under strain, mis-direct parcels or cause bottlenecks that slow down operations.

Honeywell's Irregulars Sorter helps companies achieve more reliable performance through automation. Engineered to handle a wide range of size, weight and shape variability, the system can process 3,000 to 5,000irregular parcels per hour. Its modular design enables seamless drop-in and integration with a business's existing sortation infrastructure, helping to improve efficiency, reduce potential downtime and lower maintenance costs.

"Irregular packages can be a major roadblock for organizations, from post and parcel to 3PLs and online retailers," Briggs added. "With the Irregulars Sorter, we are addressing a key pain point in the industry and helping the supply chain perform optimally, even as the volume and variety of these packages grows."
