LEADER JEFFRIES STATEMENT ON THE ATTACK IN NEW ORLEANS

Brooklyn, NY - Today, House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries issued the following statement:

I am horrified by the attack in New Orleans on what should have been a night of celebration. My prayers are with the victims, their families and the entire New Orleans community during this incredibly painful time. I commend the brave members of local and federal law enforcement who put themselves in harm's way and whose swift response prevented further loss of life. May God watch over the city of New Orleans and everyone hurt by this horrific act of violence.
