Chinese Ambassador to PNG Yang Xiaoguang Attends Women’s Health Awareness Seminar

On May 10, Chinese Ambassador to PNG, H.E. Yang Xiaoguang attended Women's Health Awareness Seminar, which was organized by Chinese Enterprises Association in PNG (CEAPNG) MuLan Women's Association. Nearly 100 representatives from CEAPNG and businesswomen in Papua New Guinea attended the seminar.

Ambassador Yang introduced the continuous improvement of women's status since the establishment of the People's Republic of China. He said that China has actively promoted women's participation in various fields of state governance and public life, established a comprehensive women's health protection system, and achieved remarkable results in improving women's status, promoting gender equality, and protecting women's health. Under the personal initiative of President Xi Jinping, China will host the Global Summit of Women again in the second half of this year. The Chinese side looks forward to working with Papua New Guinea and all relevant parties to discuss the global agenda for women's development, and jointly promote greater roles for women in global governance.

The attending representatives from PNG expressed gratitude to CEAPNG MuLan Women's Association for hosting this seminar. The 14th China Medical Team to PNG also provided free on-site clinic services, which were widely welcomed.
