RED OAK, Iowa - U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Chair of the Senate Small Business Committee, today announced her Small Business of the Week: Innovative Manufacturing & Engineering of Polk County. Throughout the 119th Congress, Chair Ernst plans to recognize a small business in each of Iowa's 99 counties.
"From blueprints to breakthroughs, Innovative Manufacturing & Engineering has tooled its way to success," said Chair Ernst. "This team isn't just producing parts, they're building opportunities, inspiring young Iowans, and reminding us that the future of American manufacturing starts right here in the heartland."
Founded in 2011 by Todd Freeland and co-owned with Matthew Sawhill and Brandon Dahms, Innovative Manufacturing & Engineering has grown from a small startup into a trusted leader in precision machining, shaping raw materials into exact dimensions and designs. The business powers Iowa's agriculture, food, transportation, and construction industries, supporting manufacturers across the nation. Guided by the philosophy, "precision meets people meets passion," the 14-person team combines cutting-edge technology with hands-on craftsmanship. Through partnerships with local community colleges, they're also investing in our next generation of skilled Iowa manufacturers.
Stay tuned as Chair Ernst continues to recognize outstanding Iowa small businesses with her Small Business of the Week award.
