MARION, Ind. - July 14, 2026 - As construction of Parkview Marion continues, hospital leadership is inviting local artists to be part of its legacy. Community members are encouraged to submit photographic work that adds colorful local touches to the facility's décor ahead of its opening to the public.
"We want Parkview Marion to look, feel like and truly reflect the community it serves," said Deb Potempa, market president, Parkview Health South. "What better way to do that than by showcasing work from local artists? We invite amateur and professional photographers to submit photos for consideration. Selected pieces will become part of the healing environment at Parkview Marion."
Photographers are invited to submit photos that represent the rich heritage, beauty and diversity of the community. Images of landscapes and natural beauty, architecture, industry, people, places, sporting events or school and community activities will be considered - any appropriate subject reflecting the culture of Grant County, past and present.
Select submissions will be matted, framed and displayed with pride within the hospital. Individuals whose photos are chosen will be informed of the selection and will receive photography credit on or near the photo as it is displayed in the hospital facility.
The deadline for photo submissions is January 1, 2027. Photos should be submitted to [email protected].
Submissions must be accompanied by the photographer's name and preferred phone number, status as an amateur or professional photographer, and profession if the photographer is an amateur.
All photos must be high-resolution digital images. Files should be large enough (at least 3 - 5 MB) so they can be printed at 300 dpi or greater at a size of at least 12 inches by 18 inches. Photos may be black-and-white or color, new or vintage, but they must have been taken in Grant County. Each photo should be accompanied by a short description, including specifics as to where and when the photograph was taken. If people are shown in the photo, it must be accompanied by a photo release signed by the individual(s) shown, as well as their printed names.
There is no limit to the number of photographs that may be submitted. If you are interested in submitting photos and have questions or need a photo release, please email [email protected].
About Parkview Marion
Located at 6334 Corridor Drive, Parkview Marion will provide 24/7 emergency care alongside urgent care services in a single, community-based setting. It will be the second Parkview facility to use the innovative ER/urgent care model, designed to improve access to an appropriate level of care for each patient while helping them avoid higher costs when ER-specific care is not needed.
The 28,500-square-foot facility is being designed in partnership with Design Collaborative, the Fort Wayne-based architecture and engineering firm that has collaborated with Parkview Health on numerous healthcare facilities across the region.
Once construction is complete, the emergency department will include 10 exam rooms. A dedicated outpatient clinic wing will house family medicine and specialty care across 19 exam rooms, as well as comprehensive imaging and lab services.
Parkview Marion is expected to open in the fall of 2027.
