Congressman Kean Announces 2025 Congressional Art Competition

(February 28, 2025) WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Congressman Tom Kean, Jr. (NJ-07) announced the launch of the 2025 Congressional Art Competition. All high school students (grades 9-12) in New Jersey's Seventh Congressional District are invited to participate. The deadline for submissions will be 5 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025.

"I am thrilled to invite high school students from the Seventh District to participate in this year's Congressional Art Competition," said Congressman Kean. "This longstanding tradition offers young artists an opportunity to showcase their talent on a national platform. Each year, I am impressed by the creativity of our students, and I look forward to seeing the incredible artwork they submit."

All submitted artwork will be reviewed by a professional panel and one winner will be selected from New Jersey's Seventh Congressional District to have their artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year. The winner will also be invited to DC in June for an Art Competition Celebration to recognize their artistic achievement. Two runner-up pieces will also be chosen for display in Rep. Kean's Washington, D.C. and New Jersey offices. All participants will be invited to display their submissions at a Recognition Event to be held in May.

Artwork must be submitted digitally (high-res photo saved as a PDF attachment) along with a completed student information and release form. The required forms and full guidelines for the competition can be found at: https://kean.house.gov/services/congressional-art-competition-2025
