Updated Marine Access During Construction of McNab Road Bridge

Date Released: April 09, 2026

Updated Marine Access During Construction of McNab Road Bridge

Since the initial project announcement, the City has continued to coordinate closely with the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) and project partners to evaluate opportunities to reduce impacts to the community during construction.

As a result of this ongoing coordination, SFWMD has approved a revised approach that will allow the bridge to remain open to marine traffic throughout construction.

This adjustment reflects SFWMD's review of operational and safety requirements and provides a balanced solution that will moderately impact the project schedule but will improve navigational access for the boating community.

While the waterway will remain open to marine access at all times, navigation will be limited to a single open lane to safely accommodate construction activities.
