Registration Opens For The 2027 Just Economy Conference

Today, the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC) opened registration for The 2027 Just Economy Conference . Join us in person from May 6-7 at the Grand Hyatt in downtown Washington, DC with our members-only Hill Day on May 5!

"Every year as we plan the Just Economy Conference, we ask what issues are most urgent to our mission," said NCRC's President and CEO Jesse Van Tol. "This year, we keep coming back to three things: influence, investment and impact. The Community Reinvestment Act has helped drive investment into communities for nearly 50 years, and today its future is under threat. That makes our collective influence more important than ever. By drawing on the strength of our deep membership and coalition roots, our shared resources and our collective voice, we can protect CRA and continue advancing economic and racial justice across America."

The Just Economy Conference is the leading national conference for economic and social justice. Don't miss your chance to join elected officials, policymakers, community leaders, civil rights groups, faith-based organizations and economic and social justice advocates from across the nation.

In 2026, more than 1,000 people attended and spent two days building their networks and learning together in dozens of workshops and breakout sessions about challenges, solutions and opportunities to create a nation that not only promises but delivers real chances for all Americans to build wealth and live well.

In 2027, attendees will once again come together to exchange ideas, strengthen partnerships and explore strategies to expand access to housing, credit, capital and economic opportunity in communities nationwide.

Past featured speakers have included former executive leaders like Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) Director Rohit Chopra, Acting Comptroller of the Currency Michael Hsu and Secretary of the US Department of Housing and Urban Development Marcia L. Fudge. Additional featured speakers have included Chair of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System Jerome Powell, Congresswoman Maxine Waters, Global Head of Corporate Engagement and President of the Goldman Sachs Foundation Asahi Pompey and Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative civil rights reporter at the New York Times Nikole Hannah-Jones.

And as we prepare to gather in Washington, DC in 2027, NCRC is already looking ahead to a historic first for the Just Economy Conference. In 2028, the conference will leave Washington for the first time and head to Chicago, bringing the nation's leading gathering for economic and social justice directly to a new host city and community.
