CAS confirms receipt of an appeal by the Russian Ski Association against the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS). The appeal concerns a FIS decision "to not facilitate the participation of Russian and Belarussian athletes as Individual Neutral Athletes (AIN) in FIS qualification events for the Olympic Winter Games Milano-Cortina 2026 (OWG 2026)."
Filed on 5 November, the appeal is joint with six professional ski athletes (Mr Saveliy Korostelev, Ms Lana Prusakova, Ms Maria Travinicheva, Mr Artiom Galunin, Ms Ekaterina Tkachenko and Mr Daniil Sadreev), the Russian Paralympic Committee (RPC) and six para-athletes who compete in various ski disciplines (Mr Alexey Bugaev, Ms Varvara Voronchikhina, Ms Anastasiia Bagagiin, Mr Ivan Golubkov, Ms Polina Novakovskya, and Mr Mikhail Slinkin).
The Appellants request CAS to order FIS:
In accordance with CAS proceedings, the Parties are currently exchanging written submissions and a Panel of arbitrators is being composed. With the Parties' agreement, a hearing will be scheduled. CAS regularly updates its list of hearings here.
