NOW Stands with Epstein Survivors

NOW Demands Action to Support Epstein Survivors

Demands Release of Epstein Files

Statement from NOW Board of Directors

WASHINGTON-The National Organization for Women (NOW) Board of Directors has voted unanimously to support the "Epstein Files Transparency Act," which calls for releasing of all documents relating to Jeffrey Epstein.

Powerful courage has been shown by women who had been sold for sex by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Their bravery has helped bring to light the stories of 1,000 women and girls - often as young as 14 - of how they were victimized, sexually exploited and raped. These victims and survivors deserve justice.

The House leadership and President Trump are blocking transparency, reneging on a campaign promise and protecting victimizers.

NOW is calling on its members and supporters to #StandWithSurvivors by:

  • Contacting members of Congress to support Discharge Petition #9, which would require Speaker Johnson to bring this issue to the House floor to open the Epstein/Maxwell/Trump coverup;
  • Contacting members of Congress to demand passage of House Resolution 581, the "Epstein Files Transparency Act," which calls for the release of all documents relating to Jeffrey Epstein, despite embarrassment, reputational harm, or political sensitivity, including to any government official, public figure, or foreign dignitary;
  • There is power in numbers. Show support by signing our petition that asks Congress and the Department of Justice to release the files.
  • Calling for the removal of any statute of limitations on sex trafficking, as it can take decades for women to understand that a crime was perpetrated on them; and
  • Demanding that local police forces and prosecutors be educated on the nuances of sex trafficking,and that their leadership needs to understand that trafficking is a crime worth pursuing.
