Students at several Rancho Cordova elementary schools were surprised with brand-new dictionaries this year, courtesy of the Rotary Club of Rancho Cordova. Mayor Siri Pulipati, Council Member David M. Sander, Ph.D., Council Member Joe Little, and Council Member Linda Budge joined Rotary members on campus to help hand out the books.
The donation is part of the Rotary Club's long-standing commitment to promoting literacy and supporting local students. During the visit, Council Members encouraged kids to dive into reading and discover how expanding their vocabulary can open new doors in their education.
Excitement filled the classrooms as students thumbed through the pages, eager to learn new words. School staff shared their appreciation for the city and the Rotary Club, noting that these dictionaries will serve as meaningful learning tools for years to come.
