Working Visit by Minister in the Prime Minister's Office, Second Minister for Education and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Mohamad Maliki Osman to Jordan, 21 to 22[...]

Minister in the Prime Minister's Office, Second Minister for Education and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Mohamad Maliki Osman made a working visit to Amman, Jordan from 21 to 22 January 2025.

As a follow-up to Jordan Crown Prince His Royal Highness Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II's Official Visit to Singapore in January 2024, Minister Maliki met Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship His Excellency Sami Smeirat, Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education His Excellency Professor Azmi Mahafzah, and Minister of State of Economic Affairs His Excellency Muhannad Shehadeh during his visit. Minister Maliki was briefed by the respective Jordanian ministers on Jordan's digitalisation, economic transformation and education reform efforts. He welcomed Jordan's interest to learn from Singapore's experience and encouraged more Jordanian officials to participate in relevant courses under the Singapore Cooperation Programme. Minister Maliki also reiterated Singapore's appreciation for Jordan's facilitation of our humanitarian assistance for Gaza. Singapore looks forward to continue working with Jordan to alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.

On 21 January, Minister Maliki attended a dialogue session with Singaporean students in Jordan.

Minister Maliki will arrive in Singapore this evening.
