AUC Chairperson commended Troop Contributing Countries for their sacrifices and called for the swift implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2719

At today's AU Extraordinary Summit on Somalia in Entebbe, Uganda, the AU Commission Chairperson H.E. @ymahmoudali commended Troop Contributing Countries for their sacrifices and called for the swift implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2719. He urged the mobilisation of $190 million to support the AUSSOM transition, emphasised the need for stronger Somali force generation, & stressed the importance of inclusive state-building. "We cannot afford to lose the gains made," he said, reaffirming the AU's unwavering commitment to peace in Somalia.
