West Boyd Street closure between South Pickard Avenue and College Avenue for storm sewer replacement continues

July 22, 2025

Utility conflicts with sanitary sewer and water lines have slowed progress on the Boyd Street storm sewer replacement project. These conflicts have now been relocated, and the site is ready for the storm sewer construction to resume. The remaining work is estimated to be completed on October 31st, 2025, and will include roadway closures for the duration of the project.

Individual blocks of West Boyd Street will be closed to thru traffic with traffic control devices in place to safely guide the travelling public through each phase of construction. Road closures will progress from west to east - beginning with the portion of Boyd Street located between S. Flood Avenue and S. Pickard Avenue - with no plans to have more than one block closed at any time. Access to properties on closed blocks will be maintained throughout the project except at times of direct conflict. The contractor will contact individual property owners when access may be limited. Alternate routes are advised.

Questions about the construction may be directed to Jason Murphy at 405-366-5455 or [email protected]. See additional background information on this project here.
