Remembrance Sunday, which falls on Sunday 9 November 2025, is a national opportunity to remember the service and sacrifice of all those who have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life.

We remember the Armed Forces, and their families, from Britain and the Commonwealth, the vital role played by the emergency services and those who have lost their lives as a result of conflict or terrorism.

Armistice Day on Tuesday 11 November 2025 commemorates the signing of the Armistice which brought an end to the First World War and remembers all those who gave their lives in service to their country since 1914.

There are a number of events across Hart to mark the occasions:

Church Crookham and Fleet

Remembrance Sunday 9 November 2025

• 10.45am: Act of Remembrance and wreath-laying at The War Memorial, Gally Hill Road, Church Crookham. Attended by Councillor Gill Butler, representing the Chairman of Hart District Council
• 11am: Two minutes' silence at The War Memorial, Gurkha Square, Fleet.
• 2.30pm: Service of Remembrance at All Saints Church, Church Road, Fleet, followed by Parade. Attended by Councillor Chris Dorn, Chairman of Hart District Council
• 3.20pm: Parade from Church Road Car Park to Gurkha Square, Fleet for Act of Remembrance and wreath-laying. Followed by refreshments at The Harlington.

Armistice Day - Tuesday 11 November 2025

• 11am: Two minutes' silence at The War Memorial, Gally Hill Road, Church Crookham.
• 11am: Two minutes' silence at The War Memorial, Gurkha Square, Fleet. Attended by Councillor Chris Dorn, Chairman of Hart District Council
