A 10-day youth session organised as part of the Poslezavtra (The Day After Tomorrow) project began on September 23 at the Iskra active leisure hotel in the Moscow Region. Aeroflot was the general partner for the event, marking the third time the two organisations have collaborated on such a session.
Maria Lvova-Belova Lvova-Belova MariaPresidential Commissioner for Children's Rights met the participants at the Aeroflot training centre. The young people had the chance to see what it is like to be pilots using a full-flight simulator, practising take-offs, flight manoeuvres and landings.
The participants also visited the Russian Chess School and the Dynamo Museum, and met with Olympic Greco-Roman wrestling champion Davit Chakvetadze and Oksana Kosheleva, a prominent figure in the Bogatyr (Feats of Strength) movement. Throughout the project, the teenagers are supported by psychologists and camp counsellors, with both group training sessions and individual consultations provided for each group.
The teenagers shared their impressions of the session with the Commissioner for Children's Rights and spoke about their plans for the future. Maria Lvova-Belova recounted the story of Kirill, a former Poslezavtra participant who visited this same centre two years ago; after a tour when he spoke with airline representatives, he decided to become a pilot. Today, he is studying in the Ulyanovsk Region and preparing for a career in civil aviation.
The Commissioner for Children's Rights thanked the Aeroflot team for their dedication, emphasising that this partnership not only helps create an engaging and varied programme but also introduces the teenagers to potential career paths.
