NAVSEA to present at WEST 2025

WASHINGTON - Officials from Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and affiliated program executive offices will participate in panel discussions and present program updates in NAVSEA's exhibit booth during the WEST 2025 annual symposium at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, Calif., Jan. 28-30.

NAVSEA Commander Vice Adm. Jim Downey, will participate in a panel on Jan. 30:

Panel: What is Being Done to Strengthen and Secure Sea Service Capabilities that Pace the Threat? (10:30 a.m.)

The panel will be moderated by the Hon. Sean J. Stackley (Former Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Research, Development and Acquisition)). Other panelists include:

• Mr. Stephen J. Bowdren, SES, Program Executive Officer Land Systems, USMC Systems Command
• Vice Adm. Carl P. Chebi, Commander, Naval Air Systems Command
• Rear Adm. Chad L. Jacoby, Assistant Commandant for Acquisitions and Chief Acquisition Officer, U. S. Coast Guard
• Rear Adm. Elizabeth S. (Seiko) Okano, Commander, Naval Information Warfare Systems Command

PEO Unmanned and Small Combatants will host a panel on Jan. 28:

Robotic and Autonomous Systems (1:30 p.m.)

The panel will be moderated by Rear Adm. Kevin R. Smith, Program Executive Officer, Unmanned and Small Combatants. Panelists include:

• Capt. Jon Haase, Major Program Manager, Expeditionary Missions
• Capt. Matt Lehmann, Major Program Manager, Littoral Combat Ships Mission Modules
• Capt. Matthew Lewis, Program Manager, Unmanned Maritime Systems
• Capt. Gregory Mitchell, Program Manager, U.S. Navy
