Free admission for students through NYU's Museum Gateway Program is available year-round, though a cold winter may be the ideal time to explore some of New York's best (and coziest!) galleries. Just don't forget that NYU student ID! Below is a guide to the ten where it'll get you in free. For many of these the perk extends to faculty and staff too (see the faculty and staff access page for details), and beyond NYU discounts, there's also this list of NYC museums that are free or pay-what-you-wish for all.

Notes: NYU Students can now book a complimentary affiliate ticket on the MoMA website. On the reservation page, please select "Reserve affiliate tickets", choose your date, and select 'Free College - NYU' from the drop down menu. Please make sure to bring your NYU ID and ticket when you arrive at the Museum to verify your admission. Students also get free admission to MoMA P.S. 1 (22-25 Jackson Avenue, Queens).
