CCTV released as inquiries continue into suspicious fire at Prospect - Strike Force Lisburn

Police are releasing CCTV in an appeal for public assistance as inquiries continue into a suspicious fire in Sydney's west last year.

Detectives attached to Blacktown Police Area Command established Strike Force Lisburn after fire damaged a business on Aldgate Street, Prospect, between 8.30pm on Tuesday 24 December 2024 and 4pm on Wednesday 25 December 2024.

Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As inquiries are ongoing, police are releasing CCTV of a woman and two vehicles seen in the vicinity of the business before the fire is believed to have started.

Detectives believe the woman may be able to assist with inquiries.

The woman, who was seen outside the business about 11.30pm on Tuesday 24 December 2024, is described as being of Middle Eastern/Mediterranean appearance, about 170cm tall, with a thin build and long dark coloured hair. She was depicted wearing grey pants and a grey shirt at the time.

The two vehicles seen are described as a white SUV, which was seen travelling on Blacktown Street, Prospect, about 11.50pm on Tuesday 24 December 2024, and a white van, seen in a carpark outside the business about 2.42am on Wednesday 25 December 2024.
