Ascension Texas celebrates milestone: 5 heart transplants in 5 days

Last summer, Ascension Texas, including Ascension Seton Heart Specialty Care & Transplant Center at Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin, and Texas Center for Pediatric & Congenital Heart Disease at Dell Children's, completed five heart transplants over the course of five days. This rare accomplishment showcases the growth of both programs, and the delivery of the highest level of specialized cardiovascular care for children and adults, close to home. The five days kicked off with an adult patient on 6/30/24, followed by a pediatric patient on 7/1, adult and pediatric patient on 7/3, and adult patient on 7/4.

Lenn Catley (68) was the first to receive his transplant at Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin on June 30 2024. Morgan Adams (9 months) was transplanted next at Dell Children's Medical Center on July 1, 2024.
