Aggravated UUW/No FOID/ Obstruct ID

(PEORIA, IL) On Saturday, October 11, 2025, at approximately 5:28 p.m., Peoria Police officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1800 block of W. Barker for a traffic violation.

Upon approaching the vehicle, officers made contact with five juvenile males inside. During the course of the stop, officers developed probable cause to search the vehicle.

A loaded firearm was located inside the vehicle. Additionally, while searching the occupants, officers recovered a loaded handgun from the person of a 15-year-old male.

All five juveniles were transported to the Peoria Police Department for interview purposes. Four of the five juveniles, ages 14, 15, 16, and 17, were arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, No FOID, and Obstructing Identification. They were subsequently transported to the Juvenile Detention Center. The fifth juvenile was released to his guardian.
