hargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Chinese Embassy in Sweden Wan Degang Attends Webinar on China-Europe relations

On November 29, 2025, Mr. Wan Degang, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of the Chinese Embassy in Sweden, attended the webinar titled "Win-Win Cooperation Versus the 'Law of the Jungle': What Direction Will China and EU Relations Take in 2026?" held by the Belt and Road Institute in Sweden (BRIX) and delivered remarks. Over 20 experts and scholars from the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) and other institutions attended the webinar.

Mr. Wan stated that the world today is confronted with greater uncertainty and instability. China has proposed the vision of building a community with a shared future for humanity, which meets the aspirations of the people worldwide for peaceful development and win-win cooperation, and aligns with the common interests of both China and Europe. The Chinese side would like to work with Europe to build a community featuring shared interests, shared achievements, shared responsibilities and a shared future and make greater contributions to peace and prosperity of all humanity.

The participating experts spoke highly of China's achievements in economic and social development, and commended China's sustained efforts to advance high-standard opening up. They said that Europe and China should strengthen dialogue and communication amid the changing circumstances, and deepen exchanges and cooperation on the basis of mutual respect and mutual benefit.
