The President Met with Ukrainian Warriors Recovering from Wounds at the Aardenburg Military Rehabilitation Center in the Netherlands

At the Aardenburg Military Rehabilitation Center in the Netherlands, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Ukrainian defenders undergoing rehabilitation after severe wounds and presented them with state awards.

The Head of State spoke with the warriors and their families, expressing gratitude for their service and for defending Ukraine.

"We are proud to have such heroes, such fighters. We look forward to welcoming you home as soon as the opportunity arises. Taking this moment, I would like to present these awards. They represent the gratitude of the entire Ukrainian people for what you have already done - for preserving Ukraine," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

The President presented the defenders with the Orders "For Courage," II and III classes, and the Medal "For Military Service to Ukraine."

The Center's Commandant, Monika Kop-Wijering, showed the Head of State the physiotherapy halls where Ukrainian warriors undergo rehabilitation, as well as their patient rooms. She also explained to the President the methods used by the center to support the recovery of Ukrainian defenders.

The Aardenburg Military Rehabilitation Center is one of the leading Dutch medical facilities specializing in the rehabilitation of servicemembers with severe injuries. Since 2021, 87 Ukrainians have been treated there. Ukrainian rehabilitation teams also receive training at the center.

The President expressed his gratitude to the center's staff, to the Netherlands, and to all Dutch people for their support of Ukraine and assistance to Ukrainian warriors.
