Media invited to celebrate winning students in North Idaho for Name a Snowplow Contest

POST FALLS - The Idaho Transportation Department invites members of the media to join us on Wednesday, January 22, as we visit Post Falls Middle School to unveil the region's first-ever named snowplow, The Berminator, as one of two local winners.<_o3a_p>

Last fall eighth grade classrooms across the state were invited to submit their most creative moniker ideas which were then voted on by ITD employees to select two winners from each geographical region of the state.<_o3a_p>

The names will be visibly displayed across the plow's blade, with that plow appearing at wining schools to celebrate student creativity and to provide an avenue of additional winter driving safety education for this crucial age group who will become next season's freshest batch of winter drivers. <_o3a_p>

In North Idaho the first of two celebrations will be held:<_o3a_p>

Wednesday, January 22, at Post Falls Middle School at 11:30 a.m. <_o3a_p>

Winning Plow Name: The Berminator<_o3a_p>

Additional details about the celebration at Lakeland Middle School for The Big Snowplowski will be shared once they are finalized. <_o3a_p>
