Mayor Steven L. Reed Hosted Breakfast with Santa

MONTGOMERY, AL - Mayor Steven L. Reed hosted the first ever 'Breakfast with Santa' event on Saturday, Dec. 13, at Gateway Park Lodge, bringing holiday cheer to local children through gifts and festive activities.

The event aimed to foster community spirit and provide a joyful experience for Montgomery's younger residents during the holiday season. Each child in the community received a personal letter from Mayor Reed, inviting them to this special occasion.

The morning featured a variety of activities designed to create lasting memories. Santa Claus read a holiday story to the children, who also enjoyed a photo booth, a hot cocoa bar, and Christmas music. Volunteers from the Montgomery fire department, police department, and Mayor's Young Professional Council contributed to the festive atmosphere, ensuring the Christmas spirit was palpable throughout the lodge.

Many children left with gifts, and parents expressed feelings of love and relief, appreciating the city's efforts to bring the community together during the holidays.

Mayor Reed emphasized the importance of such events in strengthening community bonds and spreading joy among residents.

The 'Breakfast with Santa' is part of Montgomery's ongoing efforts to engage with the community and provide meaningful experiences for its residents. The event was free and open to all children in Montgomery.
