Take up overall responsibility for CEMBUREAU's public affairs and communication activities, reporting into the Chief Executive and cooperating closely with the Industrial Affairs team and CEMBUREAU Working Groups

Promote the cement industry's role as a solution provider throughout the cement-concrete value chain
-
Champion the industry's track record on innovation and technological advances with policymakers at all levels of government
-
Convey the policy conditions that are the essential levers for the cement industry to achieve the ambition set out in its Roadmap to zero emissions and beyond by 2050
-
Identify policy priorities and devise ambitious advocacy plans to promote the sector.

Establish strong partnerships to strengthen the sector's policy messages
Candidate profile:
-
Excellent knowledge of the EU institutional framework and decision-making process
-
Ability to translate technical concepts into clear and actionable policy messages and position papers
-
Experience in reaching out to policymakers at all levels of government both for the purposes of individual meetings as for public events
-
Track record in building partnerships with relevant external stakeholders with a view to promoting a common agenda
-
With the assistance of Communication expert in CEMBUREAU, ensure an alignment between Public Affairs and Communication activities and design an overall annual strategy to be presented to the CEMBUREAU Board

Cultivate positive working relationships with new and existing external media partners (at EU and national level)
-
Draft/edit press releases, interviews and journalist requests
-
Work with the communications team to develop traditional, digital and public relations campaigns
-
Foster strong internal outreach to CEMBUREAU Members
-
Ability to manage teams
-
Ability and readiness to draft meeting minutes with proper attention for accurate reflection of opinions and thoughts.
Essential skills:
-
Excellent level of English (both spoken and written) - as working language is English
-
Demonstrate a passion for writing and taking the time to capture thoughts and technical input in concise, clear and actionable messages
-
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including well developed stakeholder management skills. Proven experience in developing, implementing and evaluating communications strategies

Experience in engaging and developing a media presence and partnerships
-
Prepared to take ownership and responsibility on files
-
Clear understanding that success is always the result of a common team effort
Qualifications:
-
Master's degree in law, economics, public relations or related field;
-
At least 7 years' experience in public affairs with a strong focus on EU regulation and policy;
-
Existence of network and connections with EU institutions;
-
Excellent writing, editing and communication skills;
-
Proven ability to translate strategies into timelines, budgets, and to-do lists as well as manage their day-to-day implementation.
