SIUE Athletics Launches the Cougars Champions Fund

SIUE Athletics is excited to launch the Cougars Champions Fund, an unrestricted fund in support of the continued growth, sustainability, and competitive excellence of Division I athletics.

"We have reached a point in our history at SIUE where incredible opportunity and ambition at our institution is intersecting with unprecedented change in our industry," said Andrew Gavin, Director of Athletics. "The Cougars Champions Fund is a critical initiative that allows our donors and alumni to join us in meeting the challenges head on while keeping our focus on optimism, growth, and progress."

As SIUE Athletics moves into 2024-25 and beyond, the Cougars Champions Fund will create meaningful funds to support SIUE's 16 intercollegiate programs. The fund's purpose is to support the academic, athletic, and personal success of more than 270 student-athletes.

Joining the Cougars Champions Fund allows donors and supporters to play a key role in the success of SIUE Athletics and our student-athletes.

"Our commitment to every recruit and student-athlete is that they are coming to a place that is becoming a better version of itself, and expanding our donor base and fundraising revenue are vital to meeting that commitment," Gavin said. "We extend our deepest appreciation to every alum, donor, and supporter that wants to join us as we embark on this new era! Every alumnus, every supporter, every gift matters."
