Welcome Home “Honor Flight Veterans”

State Rep. Paul Jacobs himself a U.S. Navy veteran was on hand Tuesday night for the celebration to welcome home the military veterans who participated in Mission 15 of the Honor Flight of Southern Illinois. This one-day trip to the Nation's Capital to see the memorials for service members from the various wars and conflicts over the years.

"Thank you to all who have served our great nation to defend our freedoms and our allies from aggression," said Rep. Jacobs. "Thank you to all of the family, friends, and patriotic citizens who came out to welcome them home!"

Each veteran participant received an official Illinois House of Representatives Certificate to commemorate their trip and honor their service to America.
