Commencement Friday May 9, 2025

Emily Chambers, of Cumming, Georgia, made the most of her time as a Bobcat by being involved in many of the clubs and extracurriculars the J. Whitney Bunting College of Business & Technology has to offer.

Chambers served on the executive council for the GC Women in Technology Club, conducted then presented undergraduate research in artificial intelligence at an international conference, and still found time to play intramural ping pong and volleyball.

One of Chambers' favorite memories is when she participated in the Student Leadership Tour, and visited businesses, government programs and even family homesteads from Atlanta to Savannah to the Okefenokee Swamp.

"The experience opened my eyes to the diversity within our own state and reminded me how real people shape real communities," Chambers said. "I also formed lasting friendships with students from a wide range of majors, and that network of support meant everything to me."

In her commencement speech, Chambers will talk to her peers about change.

"I want to remind my fellow graduates that change isn't something to fear; it's something to embrace. As we move forward, we're not just smarter, we're braver, more adaptable and more connected than ever before," Chambers said.
