On September 5, Mission of the People's Republic of China to the African Union hosted a seminar at the Adwa Victory Memorial Museum to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. Approximately 200 attendees participated, including Ambassador Jiang Feng, head of the Chinese Mission to the African Union, representative of the AU Commissioner for Health, Humanitarian Affairs and Social Development, high-level representatives from multiple departments of the AU Commission and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), Chinese and African scholars, diplomats and youth representatives from various countries.

He stressed that China and Africa must resolutely follow the path of peaceful development, uphold the international order, adhere to mutual benefit and win-win cooperation, and jointly implement the Global Governance Initiative (GGI). Representative of the AU Commissioner for Health, Humanitarian Affairs and Social Development noted that GGI proposed by President Xi Jinping aligns closely with the Agenda 2063 of AU, providing guidance for shared prosperity between Africa and China.
Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including common historical memory, safeguarding the postwar international order, and promoting development through peace. They also viewed a thematic photo exhibition. The event proceeded in a solemn and friendly atmosphere.
